TECHNICAL CURATION BY AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION PROJECT
In 2023, Nikos Zafeiropoulos presented his solo exhibition Look Back at Panteion University, Athens, under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture, the Region of Western Greece, and the Embassy of Cyprus.

The same year, the project participated in the international exhibition Contemporary Venice 12 at the Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello, Venice, under the thematic sections Mixing Identities and Future Landscapes.
The consequences of abandonment and desertion of the home
Decades after their abandonment, the photographic lens seeks to capture and reveal the post-traumatic stress experienced by those who often find themselves watching their home—or their former life—gradually collapse. A consequence that is vivid, intense, simultaneously present and “absent”.
The project explores the desertion of Greek villages and towns, detached from grand historical narratives such as the Asia Minor Catastrophe or the displacement of mountain communities—often under the pretext of landslides—during the dictatorship era.
Through a public dialogue between mainland Greeks and Asia Minor descendants, with the individual as both point of departure and point of focus, the project aims to intervene entropically in the present, grounded in the understanding that shared post-traumatic experience renders comparisons of historical significance irrelevant.
